LAKEVILLE, Ohio (June 26) - It was a night of two's at Lakeville Speedway on Dzugan Safety/Kids night as 100 race cars jammed the pits and the fans packed the grandstand. The two's were four of the five feature winners recorded thier second feature win of the year,Caleb Griffith (Sprints) Mike Lonas (Late Models) Travis Mensching (Pure Stocks) and Brad Hensel (4Cylinder Bombers). David Radcliff went to the podium for his first time in the Classic Cruisers.
Mike Lonas took his second checker this year in his Smittley Towing, Fultz Fabrication Late Model A Main. Lonas and Matt Irey was in the front row with Ryan Eddleblute and Michael Stiltner in row two. Lonas went to the point right away with Irey second and Eddleblute in third until a flat tire on lap nine sent Eddleblute to the pits.That moved Charlie Duncan up to the rear bumper of Irey and Jason Flory moving from sixth starting place in fourth. Those front four battled for the low side of the track as the 2008 track champ, J.R. Gentry came from seventh to run in the fifth place. After several yellow flags, Lonas was able to get excellent restarts and stayed out front the balance of the feature event. Duncan made a late race charge and moved around Irey for second with Flory taking fourth and Gentry finishing fifth. Jason Flory and Eddleblute scored heat wins.
