QUINCY, Ill. (June 14) - There were four new faces in Victory Lane at Quincy Raceways on Sunday, June 14 as Mike Wiley, Aaron Brocksieck, Wyatt Lantz and Tom Goble all picked up feature event wins during Kelly's Tower of Pizza Night at the Races.
Nick Ingalls and Ron Elbe started the Budweiser IMCA Late Model feature event on the front row and put on quite a battle for the first fourteen laps of the thirty lapper but Tom Goble had his sights on the prize at the end of the event. Goble charged around Ingalls on lap 15 then around Elbe on lap sixteen into the lead position. Goble then held off the furious charges of Justin Reed until lap twenty eight but Goble did not let up. Spiderman stayed the course, regaining the lead on lap 29 and crossed the finish line first by a margin of a little over a tenth of a second taking his first ever IMCA Late Model feature win at Quincy. Reed settled for the second spot followed by Lonnie Bailey in third, Mark Burgtorf in fourth and Elbe in fifth. Elbe, Robby Warner and Ingalls were the heat race winners with Warner grabbing the win in the Summy Tire and Auto Center Trophy Dash.
