PETALUMA, Calif. (June 13) - It probably wouldn't have mattered where John Silva started the 10-car Late Model feature. As it was, the former track champ from Fremont started on the outside second row but after one lap he was leading the field with the only thing slowing him down being the two yellow flags brought out for other cars with problems. The flag-to-flag victory was Silva's fourth in six starts this season and extended his points lead over defending champion Paul Guglielmoni, who finished third behind Silva and Rod Arnold. Heat winner Nick Perivolaris finished fourth over Chevy McGinnis, Shawn DeForest, Rick Shafer, Bill Wesenberg, heat winner Randy Shafer, and Dennis Souza.
