Scott Wolfe CHILLICOTHE, Ohio (June 13) - Preparing for the big money going down the stretch of the 2009 season, Zanesville, Ohio's Bart Hartman broke Eddie Carrier, Jr.'s two-race win streak at Jeff and Vickie Schrader's K-C Raceway Saturday night. One of those "money races" is the "1st Capital Clash" for late models and sprints Saturday, June 27th on the K-C High banks. Chillicothe, Ohio's Danny Smith claimed the 410 sprint car main in a field of 25 quality cars, while Oak Hill's Rick Hensley claimed the 20-lap Advanced Services Modified main.
Bart Hartman has made the K-C victory lane his home many times over the past several years. Saturday was no exception. The Zanesville driver pulled outside pole-sitter Greg Oliver into the first turn, then easily rolled to a ten-car length lead by the ninth circuit. Eddie Carrier began chase from his sixth starting spot, claiming fast timer Mike Wilson, Chris Combs, and Rod Conley one lap at a time.
