MILLERSBURG, Ohio (June 12) - Close racing continues to be the storyline at Hilltop Speedway on Friday nights as close finishes and last lap passes seem to be the norm at the track where action is the attraction. Brad Malcuit started the S & S Construction super late model feature on the pole after his dash win and looked to have the feature in hand for the first nine laps. Going into turn one on the 10th lap, Malcuit slipped high and made contact with the wall and that allowed Ashland's Ryan Markham to power past with Lance Elson following. Justin Chance took over third on the next circuit as Dave Hornikel would slip past the fading Malcuit two laps later for the top five at the time. Quick timer Markham and his Stu's Place #5m would start to open up a lead as Chance pulled past Elson on lap 14 and set sail for Markham and with 2 laps to go had caught Markham and as the checkered flew, Markham had less than a car length lead for the win. Hornikel, the heat winner, took third ahead of Elson with Chester Elliott locking up fifth.
