ROME, Ga. (May 31) - One-Hundred-Sixty-Two cars including thirty-three Super Late Models packed the pit area on a beautiful Sunday evening at Rome International Speedway in Rome, GA for the season-opening event at the worlds fastest half-mile clay oval.

Todd Morrow led wire-to-wire holding off a hard-charge from Robert Gant to win the Super LateModel feature event in front of a standing room only crowd.

Gant finished in the second spot with Lee Sutton third and pole-setter Jody Knowles fourth. Mike Head finished fifth after starting sixteenth.
