PADUCAH, Ky. (May 22) - Kevin Cole took the lead at the start of the race with Jeff Walston in the second position followed by Jason McBride in third on Friday night at the Paducah International Raceway. Brandon Chappell started rocking through the field after starting last he was up three positions by the second lap. Cole was making his way away from Walston, with both drivers running the high brim of the race track neither were gaining or losing ground to each other. On lap five Walton's night came to an end after losing a motor.
Randy Sellars, making his 2009 debut, was moving through the field by lap eight being scored in the top five.
Cole had a giant advantage on lap 10 running a full straight advantage over Dwight Kiefer. Sellars moved to the third. The first caution of the race came out on lap 16 after contact sent Chappell around in four. Cole picked up where he left off leading the race. On a green, white, checkered restart Cole dominated and took the win at PIR.
