MANITOWOC, Wisc. (May 22) - After finishing second in his heat, Russ Scheffler of Pewaukee had the lucky horseshoe in his pocket for the roll for the invert.  Scheffler started on the pole of the 25 lap Late Model feature and jumped out in front to take the lead.  The yellow flag came out on laps 6 and 9 for cars getting together.  As Scheffler was extending his lead, the fight for 2nd was heating up.  Craig Schueffner of Sheboygan Falls and Oconomowoc's Rich Scheffler were running side by side and exchanging spots as they crossed the line for several laps as they were trying to run Russ Scheffler down.  Rick Scheffler and Schueffner ran out of laps and crossed the line respectively behind Russ Scheffler.  Rounding out the top 5 were Bob Cullen of Chilton, who had to make the show through the B-Main, and Greenfield's Jayme Zidar.

Join EWSC next Friday, May 29, for S & R Bar & Restaurant night at the races.  It will also be Halloween in May.  Wear your costumes.  Kids 11 and under will receive a goody bag.  Racing starts at 7:00 PM.
