EAST MOLINE, Ill. (October 10) - The Northern All-Star Late Model Series ran two features this weekend, one on Friday and one on Saturday. Friday night's action saw 2008 UMP Late Model National Champion, Dennis Erb Jr. take the early lead with Jason Feger right on him. As the race went on Erb began pulling away with former UMP Late Model National Champion Tony Izzo Jr. on Feger for second. Towards the back Steve Lance Jr. was moving quickly from his 13th starting spot to the front. Back up front Erb was building a huge lead and after Feger pulled off Izzo and 15 year old Brandon Sheppard starting battling for second. Erb would go onto to win with B. Sheppard getting by Izzo on the low side to take second. S. Lance would make it up to fourth and Jaime Zaider would round out the top five. Heat races went to Erb, Tim Lance, and Richie Hedrick.
