CLEVELAND, Tenn. (September 20) - After rolling to three consecutive feature wins in the 5th Annual Jimmy Mowery Memorial Triple Crown Saturday night at Cleveland Speedway Skip Arp took home a total of $4,500.

Arp started on the outside front row in the first 20-lap feature, led every lap to take the win. Ray Cook shadowed Arp and scored a second place finish. Riley Hickman ran in third until lap 17 when he headed to the pits opening the door for Johnny Chastain and Jake Knowles to move into third and fourth. Knowles would take third from Chastain on the white flag lap. Chastain would finish fourth and Jamie Perry fifth.

Arp threw a four which inverted the top four places in the second feature putting Chastain on the pole. Knowles would take the early lead and was shadowed by Arp and Chastain for the first 19 laps of the 20-lap feature. On the white flag lap Arp moved past Knowles to take the lead and the win. Knowles finished second, Chastain third, Ray Cook fourth and Jamie Perry fifth.

The final feature was lined up based on points from the first and second feature, which put Arp on the pole, Knowles on the outside front row and Cook, Johnny Chastain and Perry rounding out the top five. Arp would lead every lap but was hardly uncontested as Cook and Knowles kept him honest. On the white flag Cook caught Arp with Knowles right behind. Arp was able to fend off Cook and Knowles managed to slip by Cook for his second last lap pass of the night to take second. Cook would settle for third, with Jamie Perry fourth and Randy Burrows fifth.

Arp collected $1,000 each for his first two wins and $1,500 for the third. For winning all three events he collected an addition $1,000 bonus from Car Smart of Cleveland for a total of $4,500.

After winning the Top Tracks Crate Late Model feature and two of the three Limited/Crate Late Model Triple Crown Features, Hot Shoe Rick Hixson continued to dominate the division with yet another feature win. Taking the lead on the first lap Hixson, who had his hands full with second place runner John Ownbey, led every lap for the win. Following Hixson and Ownbey across the stripe were Justin Litchford, Brian Burke and Phillip Anderson.

After a one-week absence Tanner Works was back in the A-Hobby victory lane with a flag-to-flag win. Last week's winner Jim Twiggs was second, Devin Stuart was third, Robbie Greene fourth and Tommy Miller fifth.

When B-Hobby point leader Michael Anderson took the feature win he also sewed up the 2008 Track Championship. Patrick Harvey took the early lead and fended off challenges from Colby Shipley. On lap 14 Shipley would falter and on lap 15 Harvey would head to the pits. This opened the door for Anderson to take the lead and the win. Sean Sims was second, Troy Davenport third, Denny Beason fourth and Curtis Strickland fifth.

In the last three laps of the 20-lap Pony feature things heated up when leader David Goode headed to the pits putting first Grady Stokes then Scott Ledford on the point. On the final lap Jimmy Brown would take the lead and the win. Ledford was second, Nick Webb third, Danny Burnette fourth and Stokes fifth.

Kenny Kizzar took another Front Runner win. Dustin Cansler was second with James Bragg, Duane Blomberg and Hailey Cresswell rounding out the top five.

Next Saturday night will be the last point night of the 2008 season. Champions will be determined in all divisions, Late Model, Limited/Crate Late Model, A&B Hobby and Pony. The Front Runners, who do not race for points will also be racing.
