PADUCAH, Ky. (September 19) - Friday's racing put a wrap on the 2008 season at PIR. 98 racecars in six divisions participated in Season Championships and Point Champions were determined.
UMP Late Models
Paducah's Dylan Thompson won the battle and the war. He captured his second 20-lap feature of the season; but, more importantly, he won the Season Point Championship. It was a bridesmaid kind of evening for Jeff Walston of Paducah. Not only did he finish the feature in runner-up position, he finished second in the year-end point standings. Benton's Tim Brown was third. Thompson and Walston won the heat races.
