JAMAICA, Va. (September 13) - Walker Arthur of Forest, VA captured Saturday night's 35 lap Victory Lap Late Model feature at Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway, leading all 35 laps in his #87 Cecil B Arthur Beef Farm / PMZ Group / Chevrolet Monte Carlo Rocket. With the victory Arthur closed to within three points of current point leader Stevie Long.

Matt Morgan and Arthur led the field to green with the races first caution coming out early as Brett Carlton flipped his ride in turn 4. Carlton would emerge from his ride unhurt. On the restart Arthur once again took control this time pulling away from Tom Cohick and the rest of the field.

By lap 10 Arthur had worked to a full straight and by lap 15 was working heavy traffic. The races fourth and final caution would come out on lap 23 for the spinning Cohick. That would close Roland Mann up on Arthur's back bumper for the restart. Once the green flag fell for the final time Arthur pulled away with easy picking up his fifth victory of 2008.

Following Arthur to the checkers were Roland Mann, Stephen Evans, Stevie Long and Ben Bowie. Bowie was the Thurston Spring Service Dirt Series Rookie of the Race with his fifth place finish.
