MARKLEYSBURG, Penn. (September 6) - The Unified Force Race Championship Super Late Model Tour presented by Comcast visited the Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex in Markleysburg, PA on Saturday night for running of the Tenth Annual "King of the Knob" event, as Jeremy Miller from Gettysburg, PA led all 51 laps in earning the victory.

With a field of 42 cars on hand, six heat races were lined up by the luck of the draw. Doug Horton took the win in Heat 1 from fourth starting spot. Chuck Harper came from third position to win Heat 2. Heat 3 went to Mel Minnick, Jr. from the pole, as D.J. Myers took Heat 4 also from the pole. Jeremy Miller won Heat 5 from fourth starting position. Heat 6 went to Gary Lyle from the pole.

In the redraw for the top 12 starting positions, Jeremy Miller was the fifth driver to draw, and selected the coveted pole position. The tenth driver to draw, Gregg Satterlee, selected the outside pole. Two B-Mains set the field, won by L.C. Powers and Gary Dalton, and the 51-lap Tenth Annual King of the Knob was set.

At the drop of the green flag, Jeremy Miller nosed into the lead ahead of Gregg Satterlee, Chuck Harper, Mel Minnick, Jr., and Keith Barbara. Jason Covert was quickly on the move from eighth starting spot, advancing to fourth by lap 3. Covert passed Harper for third on lap 8. Covert passed Satterlee for second just before the first caution period of the event appeared on lap 9. Harper rolled to a stop, and he retired from the race at this point.

Miller continued to lead back to green, ahead of Covert, Satterlee, Barbara, and Doug Horton. D.J. Myers took fifth on lap 13, after starting 12th. After a lap 18 restart, Myers briefly moved to third on lap 19 ahead of Satterlee, but Satterlee regained the spot on lap 21. The top five stayed the same through a handful of caution periods.

Under yellow on lap 35, Doug Horton was forced from the event with left front suspension damage. This would be the final caution period of the event. Miller continued to lead Covert, as Myers passed Satterlee for third. Barbara passed Satterlee for fourth on lap 45.

Miller had a minor problem with race traffic in the closing laps, but went on to take the win over Covert, Myers, Barbara, and Satterlee. Ron Delano Jr. charged from 15th starting position to finish sixth. Jared Miley was seventh from 11th, with Alex Ferree eighth from 14th. As a result of this, the two drivers are tied for the UFo Championship Tour point lead with three Series races remaining. Earning the Hard Charger honors was Scott Cross, advancing 14 positions from 23rd to ninth. Bob Hershman was tenth.

The UFo Contingency Connection winner of this event was Pass-Maximum Award winner Scott Cross. Each winner will receive product certificate awards depending on the number of products for which a driver is registered and eligible out of the 75+ product sponsors. A driver eligible for 20 products will receive $500 in awards.
