SASE Media MANITOWOC, Wisc. (August 31) - Coming into the night 30 points ahead of second place Tim Carman of Sheboygan Falls, Craig Schueffner of Sheboygan Falls had one thing in mind after he found himself starting 11th in the 30 lap Late Model feature and that was to work his way patiently to the front. Schueffner did just that. Pole sitter Jim Schmidt of Cleveland led for the first 2 laps with Glenbeulah's Tim Buhler making his way to the front and passing Schmidt for the lead on lap 3. Buhler held on to the lead until lap 13 when Ron Berna of Green Bay crossed the line to be scored in the lead. At this point, Schueffner was 5th and on lap 17, made his way to 4th. On lap 22, Gordie Seegert of Oostburg took control for the rest of the race. Finishing behind Seegert was Berna, Buhler, Schueffner, and Todd Jensema of Sheboygan Falls.
