WILLIAMSBURG, Ohio (August 29) - Mother Nature stalled the events at Moler Raceway Park on Friday night but after a brief drizzle went through the race track around the time of hot laps the racing action heated up.
In the Sunesis Construction Late Model division another great field of cars were on hand. With a pill draw determining the starting line-ups in heat race action, heat wins went to Wayne Chinn, Joe Ramey, and Bill Sheets. The B-main event went to Tony Brewer in his first ever visit to MRP in a late model. At the start of the 25 lap A-main event it was Bradford, Ohio's Wayne Chinn out front with Bill Sheets and Joe Ramey in tow. By lap 12 Florida's Patrick Sheltra had chased Chinn down and took over the top spot. One lap later Chinn spun out to bring the field under caution and following the restart it was Sheltra and Barry Doss battling for the top spot. With four laps to go Doss took the lead from Sheltra and never looked back in taking his 4th feature win of the season. Doss and his Howser's Discount Fuel & Garage, Cincinnati Granite, Gabbard Ford, D& G Trucking sponsored machine continues to lead the point standings heading into the final 3 points races of the season. Following Doss across the line was Patrick Sheltra, Bill Sheets, Joe Ramey, and Mike Myers.
