PADUCAH, Ky. (August 22) - Brian Shirley of Chatham, IL took over the point on lap 39 of 50 and went on to win $5000. It was his second USA World 50 win, his first coming in 2006. Dennis Erb of Carpentersville, IL was runner-up with Terry Phillips of Springfield, MO third. Last year's USA World 50 winner, Bill Frye, finished fourth. With 34 Late Models in attendance, four heats and two semi-features were necessary. Heat winners were Shirley, Randy Korte, Jason Feger, and Kevin Cole. Billy Moyer and Paducah's Dylan Thompson won the semi's.
