PLYMOUTH, Wisc. (August 16) - In the Late Model Division Russ Scheffler, Waukesha, once again proved why he is leading the point standings this year. Scheffler started in 12 in the feature and fighting a slick race track was at the point by lap 10. Turk Letizia, Milwaukee, started on the pole, but finished second. Rick Scheffler, Waukesha, started tenth and worked his way to a third place finish. Bob Cullen, Chilton, crossed the line in fourth after starting on the outside pole. Craig Schueffner, Sheboygan Falls, was the fifth place finisher.
Heat winners for the Late Models were: Rick Scheffler, Russ Scheffler, and Billy Rezutek, West Bend.
