SPRING VALLEY, Minn. (August 16) - It was a picture perfect night for the second to last night of track points at the Deer Creek Speedway. Jeff Brauer and Bobby Kilby both won their first features of the season while Keith Foss and Dan Wheeler added to their win totals in the AMSOIL Dirt Track Series.

The Valley Trailer Sales WISSOTA Late Models had a nice field of nineteen cars on had this week. What a treat for the Bloom family as Jerry Bloom sat on the pole and his son Tony was alongside for the twenty-five lap main event.

Jerry would lead lap one, but Mark Teske made an incredible move coming out of turn four on lap two. Teske shot between the Bloom's three wide and stormed to the lead. Keith Foss was hauling as well and he charged to second in turn one.

Then the race was on, Foss caught Teske and they went at it up front. Foss was rolling around on the bottom and Teske was flying on the cushion. Foss nabbed the lead in turn four on the sixth circuit.

Eighth starting Lance Matthees was moving through traffic and now was looking at Teske's rear bumper. Matthees and Teske reeled Foss back in on lap eight and it was now a close, three horse race for the lead.

Now Teske was working the low side and Foss went upstairs and again they were side by side for the lead with Matthees in tow. Foss once again took the lead on lap eleven. Mike Prochnow was coming through traffic as well and was now fourth.

Foss pulled away a bit aloowing Teske and Matthees to settle the race for second. Matthees got by on lap fifteen as Foss had pulled away. However the race was not done as Foss started to encounter lapped traffic.

Matthees once again reeled in the leader, but a slight bump with a lapped car cost him. That allowed Foss to scoot away to his fifth feature win of the season. Matthees would up second with Teske third. Prochnow was fourth and Joe Ludemann had another fine run in fifth.

Racing resumes next Saturday at 6:00pm for the final night of track points. It is also the final drivers free entry compliments of Mike's Hard Lemonade, Fastenal, Olympic Fire Protection and Heartland Fuels.

Then on Sunday it is another full show with all five classes in action starting at 5:00pm.

The WISSOTA Late Models have been added to that show with the help of Altenburg Construction (Truman, MN), Prochnow Farms (Menomonie, WI), Rod's Painting and Sandblasting (Barron, WI) and Land Resource Management & Realty (Grand Meadow)
