Delph Communications BATESVILLE, Ark. (July 30) - Wendell Wallace and his #88 team racked up their third win of the 2008 racing season on Sunday night, July 27 at the Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri! Wendell won his heat race in preliminary action and later rolled his #88 GRT / Gaerte entry off from the outside of the front row in the 35-lap main event. The driver known as the "Batesville Bullet" fought off all challenges throughout the A-Main, as he led flag-to-flag to record the $2,000 victory over Jack Sullivan, Terry Phillips, Jesse Stovall, and Jeff Floyd. "It was a good and much needed win for our team," stated Wallace earlier in the week. "Our GRT car was great all night and we were able to get the victory against some pretty good competition. It feels awesome to start our trip out with a strong run for both me and Jack (Sullivan). We are traveling together over the next several weeks to some of these bigger shows, so a one-two finish definitely boosts the morale around here!"
Following the victory at Monett on Sunday, the Wendell Wallace Autosports team will turn their attention to the Badger State of Wisconsin, as they will compete at the Superior Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin and the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin over the next several days.
