MENOMONIE, Wisc. (July 30) - The Mars Racing team collected their tenth feature win of the 2008 racing season last Friday night, July 25 at the nearby Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Jimmy Mars started sixth in his heat race and advanced two positions to finish fourth in the final rundown. After rolling off from the inside of the third row for the 20-lap main event, Jimmy sliced and diced his way to the front in the opening laps. Once out front, the Menomonie native kept his Deppe Enterprises / Keyes Chevytown / Baileigh Industrial / ESSI Motorsports / Pro Power Racing Engines #28 entry in control to notch his second $1,000 WISSOTA triumph of the year at Red Cedar. Jimmy beat Duane Mahder, Mike Prochnow, Brent Larson, and Mike Goodremote to the checkers. You can view complete results from Friday night online at www.redcedarracing.com!

"Any time you can get a win - locally, regionally, or nationally - it always feels good," commented Mars this week. "We decided to take a little time off from the road and race around home last weekend and our car performed very well at Red Cedar. The WISSOTA guys in this area do not get the amount of credit that they deserve, as there are a lot of really good racers around here."

Jimmy and his #28 team have been working feverishly over the past several days since the win at Red Cedar, as they have a huge weekend of racing ahead of them at the Superior Speedway in Superior, Wisconsin and the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Jimmy has numerous wins at both facilities over his career and should be a threat in each of the four feature races that will be held in the upcoming days. You can view his upcoming schedule below:

July 30 | Superior (WI) Speedway, WDRL | $5,000 to win
July 31 | Cedar Lake (WI) Speedway, WDRL | $5,000 to win
August 1 | Cedar Lake (WI) Speedway, WDRL | $5,000 to win (postponed from June 14)
August 1-2 | Cedar Lake (WI) Speedway, USA Nationals | $50,000 to win
