JUNCTION CITY, Ky. (July 29) - "Kentucky's Baddest Bullring", Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY, will again present racing action at the 3/8 mile clay oval located on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, promoted by Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz, on Friday August 1. The event will be the 6th Annual John Bradshaw Memorial for Super Late Models, paying $5,000 to win.

The August 1 racing program will see the evening's activities co-sanctioned by the O'Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass DirtCar Series and by the Indepenedent Racing Series. The Super Late Models will participate in a full program of practice, time trials, qualifying heats, dash, B-Mains, and the 50 lap, $5,000 to win 6th Annual John Bradshaw Memorial O'Reilly A-Main. Also in action on the August 1 racing program will be a full program of weekly racing series action for the Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models ($500 to win), Hardee's Modifieds ($600 to win), and SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman ($300 to win) all in competition.

Activities for the Friday August 1 racing event will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area open at 5:00 p.m. The Super Late Models drivers meeting will be at 6:45 p.m., with all other driver's meeting will take place at 7:00 p.m., with hot laps at 7:15 p.m., time trials at 7:45 p.m., and racing set for the green flag at 8:30 p.m. Ticket prices for August 1 will be $20 for adults in the general admission area, with children ages 6 to 12 $5, children under age 6 free, and a pit pass will be $35.

Ponderosa Speedway last raced on July 25 and feature event winners that evening included Dustin Linville of Lancaster, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Gary Yeager of Harrodsburg, KY in Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models, Benji Lee of Raywick, KY in Hardee's Modifieds, and Rick King of Junction City, KY in SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman.

Track championship points leaders heading into the Friday August 1 racing program are Dustin Linville of Lancaster, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Todd Coffman of Junction City, KY in Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models, Kelly Warren of Columbia, KY in Hardee's Modifieds, and Bartley Grant of Berea, KY in SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman.

Ponderosa Speedway is located just off of Phillips Lane on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, outside of Junction City, KY, just minutes from Danville, KY.
