Chub Frank Racing BEAR LAKE, Penn. (July 29) - Lester Buildings brought its special promotion honoring Chub Frank to one of the dirt Late Model star's home tracks on Sunday night and the fan response was overwhelming.
The Lester Buildings display was bustling with activity throughout Sunday night's World of Outlaws Late Model Series event at Eriez Speedway in Hammett, Pa., a one-third-mile oval where Chub cut his racing teeth. Fans stopped by to inquire about special discounts on Lester Buildings orders, obtain free Chub Frank/Lester posters, check out Chub's No. 1* car and enter free drawings to win valuable prizes, including BP gas cards and Chub Frank Racing items.
"Everyone at Chub Frank Racing, Lester Buildings, The Slavic Group and Farr MotorSports was thrilled with the response the promotion received at Eriez Speedway," said Chub, who raced to a subpar 13th-place finish in the evening's 50-lap A-Main. "We want to make sure to thank (Eriez Speedway promoter) Bobby Rohrer, the World of Outlaws and all the fans for helping make the promotion an overwhelming success."
Lester Buildings' Pittsburgh-area dealer Mike Lee of South Hills Construction was on hand with two of his staffers and helped Chub draw the contest winners in front of the track's big crowd at intermission. There were three 'Grand Prizes' (BP gas cards worth $500, $250 and $100); three second-prizes (1/24th-scale diecasts models of Chub's dirt Late Model); and 10 third-prizes (Chub Frank Racing caps).
The Lester Buildings/Chub Frank promotion will continue with identical contests on Aug. 30-31 at Tri-City Speedway in Franklin, Pa. (WoO LMS Oil Region Labor Day Classic); Sept. 5-6 at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio (UMP DIRTcar-sanctioned World 100); and Oct. 30-Nov. 1 at The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C. (Vault Outlaws World Finals).
