TWIN-20 RACES FOR THE GM PERFORMANCE LATE MODELS AT DEEP SOUTH SPEEDWAY

LOXLEY, Ala. (July 29) - Saturday night's racing program at Deep South Speedway was a wash out with heavy rains and storms darkening the skies throughout the Gulf Coast region and forcing the cancellation of the event.

This coming week's special lineup of racing at Deep South Speedway will feature the return of THURSDAY NITE THUNDER to the high-banked racing facility with a second summer round of Street Stock Shootout.  The Street Stock competitors will battle in a featured 25 lap main event with a full and lucrative payout for each of the starters in the action-packed event.  In addition, a special Battle of the Bombers  will be on the Thursday night (July 31st) schedule of events highlighting a combined field of Bomber, Hogg and Roadhawg divisions from area tracks squaring off in a supporting feature event role.  Deep South Speedway will start up to 36 cars battling in each event with strong payouts throughout the entire starting fields.

The THURSDAY NITE THUNDER  event offers a Special $5 Adult Grandstand Ticket with racing taking the green flag at 8:00 p.m.  Grandstand Gates will open at 6:00 on Thursday July 31st (Pit Gates will Open at 5:00).  As part of the THURSDAY NITE THUNDER excitement spectators can experience thrilling rides around the Deep South Speedway in the track's Two-Seat Warrior Racecar.  Rides are just $25.00 for three laps at speed.  In addition to the feature racing and Two-Seat Racing Ride Experiences, there will be Open Practice for all racecars caring to test and tune.  Pit Admission for Adults is $15.00 on Thursday.

Saturday, August 2nd a full racing program returns in all divisions with the Saturday Night Special featuring Twin-20 Double-Feature races for the GM Performance Late Models.  Grandstand Gates will open at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and the green flag set to wave at 7:30.  Grandstand Admission is just $12.00 for Adults with Kids 6-12 admitted for $5.00 (Children 5 and Under are always FREE in the Grandstands when accompanied by an adult).  Check out the Deep South Speedway web site for additional information on special activities and other upcoming events.
