EASTABOGA, Ala. (July 26) - Ronnie Johnson, from Chatanooga, TN had to fight for this one, but ultimately claimed his third straight victory in the Michael Head Jr. Memorial race at Talladega Short Track on Saturday Night.

The O'Reilly Southern All-Stars sanctioned event win for RJ was worth $5,400.

Tim Busha was the official race leader twice in the final ten laps, but had to settle for second spot.

Terry Smith led the first lap of the event and challenged the entire fifty-four lap distance but finished in the third spot.

Danny Peoples finished in the fourth spot with Dingus Griffin finishing fifth after having to qualify through the first consolation race.

William Thomas set fast time among the thirty-three entrants on hand and had a strong car and a good showing finishing in the seventh spot.

In other TST action, Jackson Hale picked up the win in Sportsman action over Michael Strickland in second and Shane Criswell third.

Jimmy Elkins picked up the win in the twenty-lap Crate LateModel feature event over Brian Ponder in second and Logan Yates third.

Jimmy Hiett won the IMCA Modified feature event over Todd Watson second and Tony Gray third.

Scott Magouirk won the Thundercar feature event while Colten Miller won the Street Stock feature event. Wade Sletvett won the Hot Shot feature event

TST is back in action this Saturday Night with a full racing program plus our Thundercar Championship event. Gates open at 4PM with racing at 7:30PM.
