COAL GROVE, Ohio (July 25) - The first ever "Fan Appreciation Night" at RTR was a big success with a large crowd and a great field of cars in attendance. Over 50 items were given away courtesy of track official Jay Sherman, drivers Jake Keaton, Tre Martin, Rick Christian, Rod Conley, Tony Sites, Wayne Hughes, Jason Perry, Carl Dillow II, and racing vendors Bradley Racing Apparel and Jeremy Linkous.

In the "Chris Hall 30" Late Model A-Main, polesitter D. J. Wells took the lead at the start as fifth place starter Jackie Boggs immediately moved into the second position on the opening lap. A few laps later, Boggs looked to the inside of Wells as the two battled side by side for the lead. After a lap of side by side racing, Boggs claimed the lead while Rod Conley would get by Wells for second. Conley then pressured Boggs but unfortunately had to pull off the track on lap 12 with problems.

When the race resumed, Greggie Oliver moved into the second position as Boggs continued to lead. The best battle the entire race was for the third position between D. J. Wells, Terry Hicks, and Josh McGuire as they battled side by side. Meanwhile, Jackie Boggs would pull away to a five car length lead and take his sixth feature win of year! Oliver finished second with D. J. Wells third, Terry Hicks fourth, and Josh McGuire fifth. Wells won the Tri-America Contractors Dash while Aaron Hatton and Hicks won Engines Inc. heat races. Larry Ferrell won the B-Main. A stout field of 25 Late Models was in attendance.

Randy Boggs took the lead at the start of the Tomahawk Race Car Modified A-Main. Second place runner Jason Perry pressured Boggs for the lead as he looked to the inside of him the first couple of laps. When Perry saw the inside line wasn't working he put his #20 machine up top and battled side by side with Boggs for the lead! After a couple laps of side by side racing, Perry would take the lead as Todd Robinson moved into the second position. Perry was dominant in the second half of the race as he had an eight car length lead over the field.

The race took a dramatic turn on lap 17 as Perry slowed with mechanical problems! Todd Robinson then inherited the lead and went on to claim his eighth feature win of the year! The win was also enough for Robinson to clinch the Tomahawk Race Car Modified RTR track championship for the fourth time in his career, winning a 2008 Tomahawk Chassis for his efforts. Randy Boggs finished second in the A-Main with Jimmy Adams third, Danny Ferguson fourth, and Mike Sark fifth. Jason Perry won the Tri-America Contractors Dash while Jimmy Lemenx and Jake Keaton won Engines Inc. heat races.

The Bomber A-Main was also drama filled as Jeremie Bretz and David Dunn battled side by side for the lead at the start. On a lap six restart, Dunn would look to the inside of Bretz into turn one as the two would make heavy contact, ending the night for both drivers. On the same caution period, second place points runner John Rayburn pulled off the track while points leader Wayne Hughes pulled off a caution earlier! That left the lead to James "Nub" Ross as he dominated the second half of the race to claim his first career RTR feature win! Zach Adkins finished second with Aurther Nelson third, Ronnie Hall fourth, and Mike Strickland fifth. Bretz and Hughes won Engines Inc. heat races.

In the 15 lap Mod Lite A-Main, Chris Stone took the lead at the start. Around the lap five mark, Jerry Cushing worked the cushion to perfection as he reeled in Stone to battle side by side for the lead! Unfortunately, a few laps later Cushing slowed with problems. When the race resumed, Stone dominated to claim his third feature win of the year! Tony Sites finished second with Harold Kuhn third, Randy Armes fourth, and Jerry Cushing in fifth. Kuhn and Stone won Engines Inc. heat races.
