BRIGHT, Ind. (July 24) - Scott James and his #83 Dirt Late Model team trekked to Illinois and Missouri last weekend for two more exciting Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events. The Tri-City Speedway in Granite City, Illinois was up first for the Jam-Pow Motorsports team, as a $10,000 top prize was up for grabs on Friday night, July 18. In front of the SPEED Channel cameras, Scott finished fourth in his heat race prior to recording a twelfth place performance in the 'Budweiser 50.'

On Saturday, the action quickly turned to the Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri for the $10,000 to win 'CMH Showdown.' Scott qualified well and later ran second in his competitive heat race. After starting eighth in the 50-lap affair, the Bright, Indiana driver was solidly inside of the top ten before suffering an untimely flat tire. He rejoined the tail end of the field and salvaged a thirteenth place finish. Scott currently finds himself eighth in the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings following the doubleheader weekend.
