Ben Shelton FRANKLINTON, La. (July 22) - Voodoo Motorsports and drivers, David Breazeale and Scott Creel, traveled to Central Mississippi Speedway on Saturday night, and by the time that the checkered flag fell, the team had picked up their first win of 2008.
Voodoo Motorsports broke into victory lane for the first time in 2008 with David Breazeale winning the $2,500 top prize last night at Central Mississippi Speedway in Winona, Mississippi. Due to some upcoming testing and an offer from Jay Dickens, the team made the last minute decision for Breazeale to pilot the Jay Dickens Motorsports Mastersbilt on Saturday night. David set second quick time overall and started second in the feature event. Breazeale would run down early leader Chris Wall and take over the top spot near the race's midpoint. The pair would stage an exceptional battle for the top spot over the remainder of the feature with Breazeale taking the win by a slim margin over Wall. Scott Creel extended his advantage in the MSCCS Rookie of the Year standings by picking up a 12th place finish. Creel started 11th in the feature event after finishing 3rd in the last chance qualifier.
This weekend Voodoo Motorsports will invade Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Mississippi for a $2,500 to win/$300 to start, 50 lap event sanctioned by the Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series (MSCCS). David will return to action in his #54 Mastersbilt By Stuckey/Jay Dickens Racing Engine Super Late Model and Scott Creel will pilot his #31 GRT/Wall-2-Wall Racing Engine Super Late Model.
