FLOYD MAKES UP GROUND IN MSRA TITLE CHASE WITH PAIR OF TOP FINISHES AT BATESVILLE

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (July 22) - JFR Motorsports and driver, Jeff Floyd, entered a pair of O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model events over the weekend, and by the time that the action had concluded, Floyd had made up ground in the point's chase as well as picking up a pair of top ten finishes.

The weekend got underway on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas with a $2,000 to win O'Reilly MSRA event. With 33 cars on hand, Jeff won his heat race, and earned a third starting position for the 35 lap feature event. At the outset of the event, Floyd would rocket into the 2nd position as he and Jesse Stovall battled side by side for the spot. Floyd would maintain the second spot until a late race caution, set up a nine lap dash to the checkered flag. In the closing laps, the handling on Floyd's entry would start to go away, and he would fade to a 5th place finish.

On Saturday night, Jeff would start 4th in the feature and fight his way home to a 7th place finish in the 35 lap event. Via his weekend performances, Floyd currently resides in the second position in O'Reilly MSRA points and has trimmed Joey Mack's advantage in the standings to a mere 27 points heading into next Sunday's event at Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri.

Jeff will enter a pair of events this coming weekend behind the wheel of his #F1 GRT/Kuntz & Co. Racing Engine Super Late Model in the state of Missouri. The first event will be held on Saturday night at Springfield Raceway in Springfield, Missouri with $3,000 to win/$500 to start Andy's Frozen Custard John Kuntz Memorial Race event that is being sanctioned by both the O'Reilly MARS tour and the Allstate DLRA tour.
