CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. (July 22) - Following a wildly successful UMP Summernationals campaign, which saw Dennis Erb capture his second straight "Hell Tour" title, the Dennis Erb Racing team was back at it again on July 18-19 in a pair of Dirt Late Model events. First up for the #28 team was a regular weekly UMP DIRTcar Series show on Friday night, July 18 at the Farmer City Raceway in Farmer City, Illinois. Dennis qualified sixth fastest in time trials and later won his heat race. After starting third on the grid in the main event, Dennis drove his #28 C.J. Rayburn chassis to strong runner-up performance behind winner Eric Smith.

The wheel-to-wheel action then turned to the Clarksville Speedway in Clarksville, Tennessee on Saturday evening, July 19 for a rain-postponed UMP Summernationals event. Dennis was second quickest in his group during time trials and once again won his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the front row, the Carpentersville, Illinois native led all forty laps en route to a convincing $10,000 victory over Wes Steidinger, Rodney Melvin, Kevin Claycomb, and Terry English. You can view complete results from both races online at www.farmercityraceway.net and www.dirtcar.com.

"Things are going pretty well for us right now," stated Erb today via telephone. "Our cars and motors are running strong right now and everything seems to be clicking. We just have to keep being consistent each night and the wins will come. Hopefully, we can be as consistent on the upcoming Monster Midwest Tour as we were on the UMP Summernationals last month!"

The #28 team will now turn their sights to a monstrous week of Dirt Late Model action. Dennis will stay in the Land of Lincoln to compete in six straight nights of racing action in the state of Illinois. The "Monster Midwest Tour" features six events at six different venues from July 22-27. Each of the races this week in Illinois will pay $2,000 to the winner and the point champion from the mini-series will be awarded an extra $1,500. You can catch Dennis at the following locations this week on the "Monster Midwest Tour":

July 22 | Peoria Speedway (Peoria, Illinois) | $2,000 to win
July 23 | Spoon River Speedway (Banner, Illinois) | $2,000 to win
July 24 | LaSalle Speedway (LaSalle, Illinois) | $2,000 to win
