Chub Frank Racing BEAR LAKE, Penn. (July 8) - Chub Frank will use the World of Outlaws Late Model Series 'Wild West Tour' as a perfect opportunity to visit the home base of his primary sponsor Lester Buildings.
The star driver from Bear Lake, Pa., is scheduled to bring his dirt Late Model team and Slavic Corporation merchandise trailer to the Lester Buildings Corporate Headquarters in Lester Prairie, Minn., on Thurs., July 10, while en route to a WoO LMS 'Wild West Tour' event that evening at North Central Speedway in Brainerd, Minn.
Chub will be at the Lester Buildings site from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. He will tour the company's plant, participate in a meet-and-greet with corporate employees and display his Lester Buildings/Corry Rubber/All Star Performance/Corry Laser/Slavic Corporation/Farr MotorSports/Lake Shore Paving/Custom Race Engines Chevrolet Impala SS Rocket Chassis No. 1* in the parking lot.
"We're all looking forward to our visit to the Lester Buildings Corporate Headquarters," said Chub. "Lester Buildings has been a major sponsor of Chub Frank Racing for several years and we want to show our appreciation to everyone in the company for what they do to make our racing effort possible."
Chub will begin a two-week western excursion with the WoO LMS on Wednesday night (July 9) at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., which hosts the 29th annual Featherlite Trailers Gopher 50. Chub is the race's defending champion.
The 'Wild West Tour' will also make stops on July 10 at North Central Speedway; July 11 at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks, N.D.; July 12 at Estevan (Saskatchewan) Motor Speedway; July 13 at Williston Basin Speedway in Williston, N.D.; July 16 at Gillette (Wyo.) Thunder Speedway; July 18 at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, S.D.; July 20 at the Belleville (Kan.) High Banks; and July 21 at Boone County Raceway in Albion, Neb.
Chub heads into the tour ranked fifth in the WoO LMS points standings, 76 points behind leader Darrell Lanigan.
The driver known as 'Chubzilla' raced only once since the last WoO LMS event on June 25 so he can maximize his preparation time in the shop for the upcoming swing. He finished second in the Yankee Doodle 50 on July 3 at Central PA Speedway in Clearfield, Pa., after a flat tire forced him to pit and then charge forward from the back of the pack.
