Delph Communications CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (July 3) - The Justin Rattliff Racing team competed in a tripleheader racing weekend from June 26-28 and capped off the trio of races with a win on Saturday night, June 28 at the famed Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana! Justin Rattliff won his heat race at the 1/4-mile, semi-banked oval, which earned him the inside second row starting spot for the 10th Annual 'Lee Fleetwood Memorial.' The driver known as the "Rattler" found the point on lap sixteen of the O'Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass Dirtcar Series feature event, as he swept by leader Victor Lee on the highside. Justin then led the remaining fourteen circuits to record the $3,000 triumph over Lee, Steve Barnett, Greg Johnson, and Tim Tungate.
Earlier in the weekend, Justin entered a pair of UMP Summernationals events at the Paducah International Raceway in Paducah, Kentucky (June 26) and the Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana (June 27). The Campbellsville, Kentucky native suffered from mechanical problems throughout the $6,000 to win show at Paducah on Thursday night and retired his #16 machine after heat race action. On Friday at Lawrenceburg, Justin advanced into the $10,000 to win main event through the B-Main and wound up twentieth in the final rundown of the feature. "It was a good ending to a bad weekend," quoted Rattliff when asked about his Brownstown victory. "I think we finally got this C.J. Rayburn car fixed correctly after wrecking it earlier in the year. The car worked great all night at Brownstown and it felt awesome to get back into victory lane. Hopefully this win will get us back on track and headed in the right direction!"
The #16 team will jump back on the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series trail this upcoming weekend, as the series hosts a trio of races in Ohio and Tennessee. A tripleheader weekend consisting of three $10,000 to win events will be held at the Muskingum County Speedway in Zanesville, Ohio (July 3), the Tazewell Speedway in Tazewell, Tennessee (July 4), and the Volunteer Speedway in Bulls Gap, Tennessee (July 5).
