JUNCTION CITY, Ky. (June 24) - "Kentucky's Baddest Bullring", Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, KY, presents racing action on Friday June 27 at the 3/8 mile clay oval located on the Boyle/Lincoln County border, promoted by Larry, Chad, and Sarah Yantz. The Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models will race for $1,500 and the Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models will race for $1,000 to win.
Also of note, those racers and fans that have rainchecks and pit passes from June 13 that did not use them this past Friday night may use them this Friday June 27, but you must present your ticket or pit pass armband from the June 13 rainout.
The racing program scheduled for Friday June 27 will feature the Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models in action for $1,500 to win and the Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models racing for $1,000 to win. Also on the racing docket will be a full program of weekly racing series action for the Hardee's Modifieds and SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman.
Activities for the Friday June 27 racing event will see the pit area open at 4:00 p.m., with the general admission area open at 5:00 p.m. The Super Late Model driver's meeting will take place at 6:45 p.m., while all other drivers will meet at 7:00 p.m., with hot laps at 7:15 p.m., time trials at 7:45 p.m., and racing set for the green flag at or before 8:30 p.m. Ticket prices for June 27 will be $12 for adults in the general admission area, with children ages 6 to 12 $5, children under age 6 free, and a pit pass will be $30.
Ponderosa Speedway last raced on June 20 and feature event winners that evening included Dustin Linville of Lancaster, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, Gary Yeager of Harrodsburg, KY in Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models, Benji Lee of Raywick, KY in Hardee's Modifieds, and Rick King of Junction City, KY in SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman.
Track championship points leaders heading into the Friday June 27 racing program are Michael Chilton of Salvisa, KY in Good Neighbor Pharmacy Super Late Models, P.J. Feistritzer of Danville, KY in Kentucky National Guard Pro Late Models, Kelly Warren of Columbia, KY in Hardee's Modifieds, and Troy Scott of Hustonville, KY in SkyTower Power Race Engines Sportsman.
