PERRIS, Calif. (June 24) - This Saturday night, June 28th, Don Kazarian's famous Perris Auto Speedway will have a little something for everyone as five different divisions will be in action on the Riverside County clay oval in a program presented by Riverside County Waste Management. The California Lightning Sprint Cars, Extreme Late Models, MC Painting & Construction Super Stocks, PASSCAR Street Stocks and Dwarf Cars will wage horsepower war under the track's bright lights. Spectator gates will open at 5:00 PM with racing at 6:30.

Saturday is also the final night of the track's annual "Kid's Month" and all kids 12 and under will be admitted free when they are accompanied by an adult. In addition, each kid will receive a raffle ticket when they enter through the main spectator gate. At intermission one number will be drawn and the kid with the winning number will take home a free bicycle.

The hottest driver at the track, Stuart Hielscher Jr. of Murrieta, California, will be shooting for his fourth consecutive win on the Riverside County clay oval. Hielscher, who came close to winning his first main at The PAS last year before bumped out of the way late in the race, has dominated the action at the last three races. Interestingly at the last race he won on June 7th, Hielscher had to pass a figure very familiar to him to post the win. His father, Stuart Hielscher Sr.! The family patriarch led much of the way, but the son proved to be to fast and he blew past his dad for his third straight win (also third in only four races at The PAS this year). When the checkered flag came down at the end of the race, it was a crowd pleasing son & father one - two finish.

In the Extreme Late Models, fans will be treated to a torrid battle for the top spot in the 2008 standings. Murrieta, California's Jeff Dunham holds a precarious four point lead over Bill Bartels (Marina Del Rey, California) in the championship chase. Oh yeah, Bartels is ranked third in points! Sandwiched between Dunham and Bartels is Torrance, California star Mike Kirby who is only three digits behind Dunham. Kirby won the last race on May 17th.

Veteran Ed Perry of Carpinteria, California has built up a comfortable 23 point lead over Riverside's Tyson Talkington in the MC Painting & Construction Super Stock class. Trona's Chris Smith, who dominated the division at the start of the season, was knocked out action early in the last main event and is 43-points behind the leader heading into Saturday's 20-lap main event.

In the PASSCAR Street Stocks, Santa Ana veteran Joe Falduto took the point lead when defending champion Curtis Dietzsch, of Moreno Valley, dropped out early in the last main event on May 17th. Perris' driver "Big Jake" Everhart took the win (his second of the year) on the 17th and now stands third in points.

The Dwarf Cars will be making their second appearance of 2008. Their first main may have been the best race at the track all year long with Angel Figueroa posting the win.

Saturday's five ring circus will include qualifying for the Late Models, and heats and main events for all of the divisions. Oh yeah, the show will also include tons of family fun and entertainment. And, don't forget the weekly PAS Dance Contest at intermission with prizes for the best dancers 12 and under.
