PA Motor Speedway
PITTSBURGH, Penn. (June 21) - The Lynn Geisler team cars of Geisler and Mike Pegher Jr. grab wins at Pittsburgh's PA Motor Speedway June 21, 2008. Wayne Tessean and Justin Pons also win at beat the rains, which postponed the Pure Stock and Amateur Stock mains.
In the Pizza Hut Late Models, Cranberry Twp. PA's Lynn Geisler grabbed his second win of 2008 and his 68th career late model win at PPMS. Geisler took the lead on the start from his outside front row starting spot. Geisler led all 25 laps but did not have an easy time of it as point leader Jared Miley challenged him several times during the event. Miley ended up second, with Jim Stephens having a solid run to end up third. Mike Johnson came from 9th to finish third while Steve Baker came up from 11th to finish fifth. The rest of the top ten included Ben Miley, Dave Wade, D.J. Miller, Kyle Lukon, and Keith Rodriguez. Kyle Lukon had his first career win in the late models by picking up the first late model heat while Keith Rodriguez took the second heat. Lukon, the recent high school graduate, was running seventh in the main when he spun in turns one and two and brought out the event's only caution. Another LM rookie Kari Gasser was having her best run of the season, running sixth when she pulled out with just a few laps to go.
