LEBANON, Mo. (June 19) - The much awaited reopening of the Lebanon I-44 Speedway has been delayed until Sat Night June 28.

The Speedway has been resurfacing the track with new dirt and changing the racing grooves also.

"Finally Mother Nature allowed us to get the new dirt down on the racing surface, but it just a little soft in some spots and needs just alittle bit of time to settle in." quoted Promoter Randy Mooneyham.

"We have several special events coming-up on the schedule and we have brought in over 350 loads of new dirt and want to do this thing right."

The Speedway will host a Special Thursday Night practice session with things getting underway on June 26th with activities beginning around 7PM and will get back into action on June 28th with the Central-Bank Racing Series Action featuring UMP Late Models, USRA Modifieds, Factory Stocks, Bombers, B-Mods, Roookies and the area Super Stocks along with a special $5 Grandstand Admission for Adults. Tier parking prices will remain the same with adults being $12 in Tier.

Billed as the fastest 3/8ths in the Midwest, this resurfacing job will provide alot closer racing and put it back into the hands of the drivers.
