BATESVILLE, Ark. (June 13) - The Wendell Wallace Autosports team invaded the famed Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio on June 6-7 for the 14th Annual 'Dream 100.' Wendell Wallace timed in twenty-second fastest during qualifying at the "Big E" on Friday night, June 6, which gave him a great starting position for heat race action on Saturday. When the dirt-slinging action resumed on Saturday at the 1/2-mile, high-banked speedplant, Wendell ran second in his competitive heat race to earn a coveted spot in the $100,000 to win A-Main.

After starting from the outside of the fifth row for the 100-lap 'Dream 100,' Wendell was running sixth when he ducked into the pit area during an early caution period in an attempt to stop the overheating on his #88 machine. He returned to the racetrack at the tail end of the field and salvaged a respectable twelfth place finish in the annual mega-event. "I think we had a fifth or sixth place car, but I had to pit early in the race and I gave up a ton of track position," quoted Wallace this week. "The car was running a little hot and I decided to pull into the infield and cool it off a little bit. It was still a good run for our GRT program and we will see what happens this Friday at Batesville!"

Wendell and the #88 team have one lone event on their upcoming weekend schedule. They will travel to the nearby Batesville Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas on Friday night, June 13. The AMP Late Model Series will sanction a $1,500 to win show tomorrow evening at the Batesville area venue. Wendell will be using the race as a test session for the upcoming 'Topless 100' in August. You can learn more about this event online at www.bms-ar.com.

In other news, Wendell would like to thank Todd Moser a.k.a. "Little Man" for his dedication and support to his racing program over the past decade and a half. Todd has decided to take another opportunity with a different race team and Wendell wishes him nothing but the best in the future. The #88 team is currently looking for crew help for the rest of the 2008 racing season. If you are interested and have a racing background, please contact Wendell at 870.251.3513.

Wendell Wallace and the GRT House Car team would like to thank the following sponsors for their continued support: J&J Steel, GRT Race Cars, Wincrest Farms, Gaerte Engines, JFR Graphics, Sunoco Race Fuels, Garrett Racing, C&S Cable Construction, Delph Communications, Integra Shocks, Port City Racing, Wilwood, Sweet Mfg., Hoosier Racing Tires, and Frankland Racing Supply.
