BATESVILLE, Ark. (June 12) - He had to do it the hard way, but by the time that the dust settled on last weekend's Arkansas Motorsports Professionals (AMP) events, Billy Moyer Jr. had raced his way to a pair of top ten finishes.

On Friday night, Billy was in action at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas for a $1,500 to win, 30 lap event behind the wheel of his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis By Moyer/Runion Racing Engine Super Late Model. Billy drew one of the largest pills at the pill draw, and as a result, he started last in his heat race. Billy advanced from his 5th starting position to a 3rd place finish in his heat race. Via the passing points that he accumulated in his heat race, he started 9th in the feature event. Billy was battling in the top five by lap 10, when he had to head pitside with a flat left rear tire. He rejoined the back of the pack and charged back to a 7th place finish.

On Saturday night, Jr. Motorsports traveled to Central Arkansas Speedway in Plumerville, Arkansas for another AMP event. Once again, Billy drew a large pill at sign-in and was forced to start 6th in his heat race. He passed three cars en route to a 3rd place finish in the heat race. Billy then started 6th in the feature and advanced to a 5th place finish.

"If we can every draw a decent number for the heat race line ups, I think that we can get some wins under our belt, but it's tough when it seems like we start in the back every night," commented the energetic Moyer Jr.

This weekend, Billy will once again enter a pair of AMP Super Late Model Series events in the state of Arkansas. On Friday night, Billy will compete at his home track, Batesville Motor Speedway in Locust Grove, Arkansas. This will mark the first Super Late Model event of 2008 at the 3/8 mile oval. On Saturday night, Jr. Motorsports will travel to I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, Arkansas for another $1,500 to win, 30 lap event. For more information, please visit www.AMPSeries.com .
