MCGUIRE RACKS UP A VICTORY AT ROCKY TOP RACEWAY; READIES FOR BIG WEEKEND IN OHIO

GRAYSON, Ky. (June 12) - The Josh McGuire Racing team visited victory lane for the third time in 2008 last Friday night, June 6 at the Rocky Top Raceway in Coal Grove, Ohio! After setting fast time on the evening during qualifying, Josh McGuire won his heat race to earn the pole position for the $2,000 to win main event. The Grayson, Kentucky native then took the lead on lap 19 after a heated battle for the top spot and led the remaining 11 circuits to record the victory over Kenny Christy, Audie Swartz, Joe Ramey, and Brandon Queen.

The dirt-slinging action then turned to the 201 Speedway in Sitka, Kentucky on Saturday evening, June 7. The O'Reilly Battle of the Bluegrass Dirtcar Series sanctioned a $3,000 to win show on Saturday at 201. Josh ran second in his heat race to advance to the A-Main, where he wound up eleventh in the final rundown. "It was a great night for us at Rocky Top last Friday," quoted McGuire today. "Everything went our way and the car was really good. Hopefully, the car will be dialed in like that this upcoming weekend when a little more money is up for grabs!"

Josh McGuire and the #41 team will trek to the Rocky Top Raceway in Coal Grove, Ohio and the Portsmouth Raceway Park in Portsmouth, Ohio this upcoming weekend for a pair of $5,000 to win shows. An unsanctioned event will be held at RTR on Friday, June 13, while the Independent Racing Series (IRS) will sanction Saturday's festivities at PRP.
