MACS SUPER LATE MODELS READY TO CREATE SOME HEAT IN THE SUMMER SIZZLER AT VMS

JAMAICA, Va. (June 10) - The stars of the Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS Late Models) are headed to Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway for the first of two visits in 2008. This Saturday, June 14th the ground pounding super late models will hit the track for the Miss Utility Summer Sizzler featuring the 50-lap, $7,000 to win "Dig With Care 50".

A host of well-known regional dirt Late Model talents are expected to compete for the $700o top prize, including defending MACS tour champ Jason Covert of York Haven, Pa., Jeremy Miller of Gettysburg, Pa., Ricky Elliott of Seaford, Del., Booper Bare of Rockbridge Baths, Va., Devin Friese of Chambersburg, PA and a host of other top competitors.

Divisions scheduled to race on Saturday June 14th: Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) Late Models (50 Laps); Truckin Thunder Sportsman (25 laps); and the Budweiser Modifieds (25 Laps). Sportsman and Modified divisions will run Hot Lap Time Trials and Features only. Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) Late Models will run a full MACS program including AlturnaMATS® Time Trails presented by Big Shots Performance, Heats, the Sunoco Race Fuels B Main presented by Bazell Oil, the Keizer Aluminum Wheels 2nd B Main presented by JNJ Motorsports Media, and a 50-lap, $7,000 to-win A Main paying $500 to start.

The speedway will once again provide fans with a top-flight show for very favorable ticket prices. Adult admission is only $25.00 while seniors (60+) and military are $22.00. Students 13 to 17 years old are $10.00 with children 7 to 12 years old $5.00 and children 6 and under FREE. VMS will also offer a 'Family Pass' that consists of two adults and two children 12 and under for only $50.00. Fans are also encouraged to visit the speedway's website for a $2.00 off discount coupon good on an adult, senior or military ticket. Pit passes for the one day event will be $25.

Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway, an ASA Track affiliate, is a ½ mile dirt oval track and located on U.S. Route 17, eight miles north of Saluda, VA and 25 miles south of Tappahannock, VA in Jamaica, VA. The speedway is just a short drive from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Southern Maryland and the Hampton Roads area.
