COVERT WINS $2,000 AT HESSTON SPEEDWAY, MACS WEEKEND IN VIRGINIA UPCOMING

YORK HAVEN, Penn. (June 10) - Barry Klinedinst Motorsports and the Back-to-Back (2006/2007) Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) Champion Jason Covert was back in familiar territory on Sunday, June 1st, Victory Lane at Hesston Speedway. Jason picked up $2,000 for his efforts and hopes to ride the momentum that a win brings into this upcoming weekend.

The BK Motorsports team was also in action on Thursday, May 29th at the Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, DE with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. Jason timed in 20th overall and rode his fourth place heat race finish into the 'First State 50'. Covert drove to a solid 13th place finish in the caution free event after starting 16th. 'We weren't as good as we wanted to be but those guys (WoO drivers) are the best in the business,' stated Covert. 'It's never easy to pass those guys and when you're just a little off, it makes it that much more difficult.'

The BK Motorsports team will tentatively be in action this Friday, June 13th at Winchester Speedway in Winchester, VA for the 1st Annual Red Nininger Memorial. The event is part of the Hagerstown/Winchester Shootout and will go 40 laps in distance. On Saturday, June 14th the MACS will be back in action at Bill Sawyer's Virginia Motor Speedway in Jamaica, VA. The event is tabbed 'The Miss Utility Summer Sizzler featuring the Dig with Care 50' and will pay $7,000 to the winner. Jason is currently tied for second in MACS championship points with Rick Eckert, a mere 20 points behind point leader Gary Stuhler.
