FLIPPIN, Ark. (June 3) - This Saturday and Sunday, June 7th-8th, Dusty Johnston will invade Missouri for a pair of weekly racing series events to do some research and development for upcoming races.

Last weekend, Dusty resumed his pursuit of the O'Reilly Mid America Racing Series (M.A.R.S.) title by traveling to Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Mississippi for a pair of events. Friday night was highlighted by a $2,000 to win event. In heat race action, Dusty started 4th and finished in the 5th position. Via passing points he fell just short of transferring to the feature event, so he had to start on the pole position for the b-main. He would lead the b-main flag to flag to take the win and earn the 17th starting spot for the feature. In the feature event, he advanced to a 13th place finish.

On Saturday night, 28 Super Late Models once again signed in, and this time the field battled for a lucrative, $6,000 to win top prize. Dusty would win his heat race and start 5th in the feature event. Johnston would battle in the top ten for the entire event before recording a 6th place finish.

"It was a good point's weekend for us with M.A.R.S., and hopefully we can build off of those finishes to make a run at the title," commented Johnston.

This weekend PJ Motorsports will invade southwest Missouri for a pair of weekly racing series events. On Saturday night, Dusty will pilot his #16 GRT By Frye/Kuntz & Co. Super Late Models on the high banks of I-44 Speedway. On Sunday night, Johnston will take part in the weekly event at Monett Speedway in Monett, Missouri. Johnston looks to use this weekend to test some setups and get some track time in preparation for the following weekend's MSRA Vs. DLRA Super Late Model Challenge event.
