SARVER, Penn. (June 2) - Believe it or not, the biggest Late Model race in the Northeast, and perhaps in the entire country, is now less than a month away! Later this month there will be dozens of haulers, hundreds of RVs and thousands of fans on the Lernerville Speedway grounds eagerly anticipating the 2nd Annual Firecracker 100 presented b y GottaRace.com.

Interest continues to build both from fans and from drivers as the date draws near. Reserved camping spots for the Firecracker weekend are on sale now and are going fast. In fact, less than 30 spots remain available. A camping spot can be reserved for just $40 by calling the Lernerville Speedway office at (724) 353-1511 during normal business hours. General camping will be available at no charge, but will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Both reserved and general camping were filled to capacity last year and are expected to be so this year as well. As such, the only way to be guaranteed a spot to set up camp for the weekend is to call and reserve a spot in advance!

In a tradition started last year, the 2nd Annual Firecracker weekend is more than just a race, it's an experience! Friday's schedule of events includes time trials and heat race action on the track, followed by a fireworks display by Premier Pyrotechnics and a post-race concert by local artists Nomad and Vanessa Campagna. Saturday's festivities start at noon with a weenie roast and Driver/Fan horseshoe contest with music by Sarah Wilson. Later in the afternoon there will be a driver autograph session with every driver in the pits signing autographs under the grandstands. After the autograph session the action moves back onto the track with B-mains (C & D mains if necessary), the Uncle Sam 30 and finally the 2nd Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com.

This year's Firecracker experience will actually extend into July, as SPEED will rebroadcast the race on Sunday July 13 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. The two-hour broadcast will highlight qualifying, heat race, B-Main and Uncle Sam 30 action, plus every lap of the 2nd Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com.

Don't miss out on the opportunity to take part in the biggest Late Model race of the year. Call and order your reserved tickets and camping now! For ticket prices and more details about the 2nd Annual Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com, log on to www.Lernerville.com or call the speedway office (724)353-1511 during normal business hours.
