LAKEVILLE, Ohio (May 30) - Jason Flory from Creston,Ohio made his second visit to the New Lakeville Speedway a very special one as he drove his McIlvain Motorsports sponsored # 02 late model to his first win of the year.Points leader Clint Coffman was lined up in the front row on the outside of Flory with Wes Morrison and Eric Eicholtz filling in the second row.In the early stages of the feature event,Coffman hung to the rear bumper of the leader,Flory and behind those two Eicholtz and John Reasor was side by side for several laps.Morrison made several runs on the second place runner Coffman but could not complete the pass as he worked the high side of the track. At about mid race laps,Flory pulled away to a sizable lead, however a lap 14 caution flag tightened the field again and Coffman mounted a charge on Flory but could not gather the leader in.Past track champion,Mike Lonas struggled early in the event but he found something in the latter stages and came from starting seventh to record yet another top five finish.Final finishing position were Flory with the win,Coffman second,Morrison driving to a third place finish,Eicholtz finishing a strong fourth and Lonas at fifth.

After Nick Mulheim had recorded three runner up finishes this year in the Pepsi Sprints, the young shoe put his Thompson Campers,Mulheim Hardwood #38M in victory lane for his first win of the early season He lined up on the outside of the front row with Bill Ault on the inside. As the green was shown Mulheim shot to the point and would stay outfront for the entire twenty five lap feature.Behind Mulheim,Ault got very early pressure from Cody Jacobs with Jason Dolick getting into the racing action by lap 7.Dolick's night came to an end on lap eight as he got into the wall coming off of turn two and was towed back to the pits.Point leader Tim Hunter was using the high and low side of the track to make his charge to the front along with Kurt Jefferies.Hunter had to battle Jacobs for a couple of circuits before moving into second place. The final caution was on the track on lap 15.Hunter chased Mulheim to the finish line followed by Jacobs,Jefferies, and Ault.

Up next was the always entertaining Hamlin Racing Engines Pure Stocks.Sean Cain and Dave Haven jr filled the front row with Rich Frame and Donna Canode in the second row.It appeared that the race was going to be between Cain and Haven Jr.Fifth place starter Don Baney made his charge to second place by lap 4 and directly behind him was Travis Mensching coming from sixth. On lap 10 the action really heated up and the fans saw a three way battle between Haven Jr,Baney and Frank Oriti who had worked from his seventh starting spot.On lap twelve,Baney made the move to the point by working the upper groove to pass Haven Jr.Brad Channell had by this time passed Cain and Haven Jr to become a top five contender as did Paul Harringer from tenth. With two laps remaining,Oriti off of turn four moved to the bottom side of the track on the front stretch, kept the nose of his Mars Trucking #72 on the inside of Baney and was able to have the advantage off of turn two and made the clean pass on Baney to record his second win of the year.Baney got second, with Channell third,Harringer was fourth and Cain finnishing fifth.

Sean Rush was able to maintain his points lead in the Hague Crystal Clear Mini Stocks as he drove to his third win of the year from the pole position.Early in the fifteen lap event Kyle Moore was able to stay glued to Rush's rear bumper with Glen Elliott Jr and Jordan James running very close.By lap 6 Rush had extended his lead by many car lengths over the rest of the field.James experienced some problems and fell out of the top five running.Moving into the thick of things was Josh Hershberger and Chase Alexander.Rush won by a decisive margin with Hershberger,Moore,Elliott Jr,and Alexander rounding out the top five.

A new winner made his way to the winners circle in the Classic Cruiser division.Ken Yarosh had started in the fourth spot and by lap five was able to drive around Cody Radcliff for the lead and was able to stay out front.Veteran driver Gary Hensel made several attempts to reel in the leader as points leader Charlie Dawson stayed in the hunt as well.Following Yarosh to the checker flag was Hensel Sr,Dawson,Cody Radcliff, and Dave Hinton
In the Rod Eddleblute's Garage sponsored novice mini stocks,Doug Hensel captured his third trip the the podium as he came from the tail of the field to the win over Brad Lawhorn,Dustin Daugherty,Tim Rush and Steve Foley.
In the Mountain Dew mini truck A main event,Brandon Craver came from the back to overtake early race leader Dale Mong to record his third victory of 2008.Finishing behind Craver was Mong,Gail Wallace,Tom Kemp and Keith Pavlich
