YORK HAVEN, Penn. (May 28) - Barry Klinedinst Motorsports and the Back-to-Back (2006/2007) Mid-Atlantic Championship Series (MACS) Champion Jason Covert had a busy Memorial Day weekend with trips to Conneaut, OH's Raceway 7, Zanesville, OH's Muskingum County Speedway, and Bedford, PA's Bedford Speedway for two Independent Racing Series (IRS) events on Friday and Saturday and a MACS event on Sunday.

The trip got off to a strong start at the IRS sanctioned 'Lake Erie 50' at Raceway 7 with a second place run in Covert's first heat race of the weekend. Jason would start eighth in the 50 lap main event and challenge for the win in the late stages of the event but could not get by IRS point leader Tim Dohm to finish second in his first event at the Conneaut, OH oval. Covert would have an uneventful but solid performance the next night at the Muskingum County Speedway coming home fifth in his heat, winning the B-Main and placing ninth in the IRS sanctioned event
.
On Sunday the BK Motorsports team made their way back east for the 'TC Warehouse LM Spring Championship' at Bedford Speedway in Bedford, PA. Jason would qualify 12th out of the 45 cars to take time and win his heat to put him in the MACS re-draw for the feature event. Covert would start on the outside of the second row for the 50 lap MACS special and again challenge for the lead this time in the early stages of the event. Covert would cross the finish line in the fourth spot moving him up to second in the MACS championship standings behind Gary Stuhler.

The BK Motorsports team will be in action this weekend with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series as they make their way to the Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, DE on Friday, May 29th and Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, MD for a pair of $10,000 to win events.
