Bob Appleget CHATSWORTH, Ga. (May 27) - After being rained out North Georgia Speedway will run last Friday night's program in its entirety this Friday night May 30.
"Hopefully the weather will get straightened out one day," said North Georgia promoter Monty Morrow. "We will run the rained out show this Friday and the following weekend, June 6 and 7, we will have the Monster Truck Show. Following on the Friday after the Monster Trucks the Lucas Oil Series will be here. We really need three pretty weekends."
Next Friday night the Limited/Crate/Sportsman division will take center stage as they race to see who is the Mid Season Championship. Plus there will be a full slate of racing, including Late Models, Hobby, Pony and Econo Bombers on the card. Arm bands and tickets from the rain out will be honored and a complete show will be run.
On Friday and Saturday June 6 and 7 the Monsters will invade North Georgia Speedway. Bigfoot, Sudden Impact, Twisted Dragon, TMaxx, Bullet Proof, Shell Camino and many more will roar into life at the third mile clay oval for the Monster Truck Summer Slam. They will be racing just like you have seen on television, plus Freestyle Car Crushing, Tuff Truck Racing and Monster Truck rides are all on the schedule.
For the Summer Slam the gates open at 5:30 pm, pit party at 6 pm and at 8pm the Monster Trucks will roar. Advance tickets are available at O'Reilly Auto Parts Stores and North Georgia Speedway day of the event only.
