ROAD TO THE COTTON PICKIN' 100 PROGRAM CONTINUES AT MAGNOLIA MOTOR SPEEDWAY

COLUMBUS, Miss. (May 19) - Magnolia Motor Speedway is set to return to action Sunday, May 25th, 2008 with the running of the 5th Annual Modified 4 Crown Championship Series presented by Rhett Realty.

The Four Crown Series is composed of four different tracks over four different days during the course of the Memorial Day Weekend. Action will begin on Friday May 23rd at North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama. On Saturday, May 24th the action shifts to Columbus Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi before moving across town to Magnolia Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 25th. The four race series concludes on Monday, May 26th at Moulton Speedway, Alabama. Each of the events carries a first place prize of $1,000 to win. A special points system is in place for the four races with the best 3 out of the 4 events counting toward the overall point's awards.

The action at Magnolia Motor Speedway will also include Super Late Models, Late Model Stocks, NeSmith Crate Models, and the ever popular Street Stock division.

In addition, the Road to the Cotton Pickin' 100 program will continue as Neil Baggett and Dane Dacus will each try to capture their 2nd Super Late Model feature wins of the year, which will automatically qualify them for the prestigious Cotton Pickin 100 season finale in October. Brian Rickman and Shay Knight in the Open Wheel Modifieds, T.K. King and Shawn Edwards in the Late Model Stock, Eddie Rickman in the Crate Late Model, Trinity Wyers and Chad Nickoles in the Street Stock, are also all eligible for the Cotton Pickin 100 event as well with a win this weekend. All of these drivers have already notched a victory at Magnolia Motor Speedway this season.

Magnolia Motor Speedway is located at the intersection of Hwy 45 & 82 in Columbus, Mississippi.

The pit gates open at 1 PM on Sunday. The grandstand gates open at 5 PM, with action starting at 7 PM. General Admission is only $15.00 and children 10 and under accompanied by a paying adult is free. The grand stands are non- reserved seating and lawn chairs are recommended.
