Bill Roth PADUCAH, Ky. (May 16) - The weather was beautiful, racecars in six divisions made use of the "overflow" pit area necessary, and - for just the second time this season thanks to the weatherman - fans experienced a regular Friday race program full of exciting action.
UMP Late Models Kevin Cole rode to victory in the 20-lap feature as earlier leaders Jeff Walston and Dylan Thompson experienced problems. Randy Sellars and Jason Riggs followed in second and third. Heat winners were Thompson and Riggs

UMP Modifieds Randle Sweeney captured another Modified checkered flag in the 15-lap main event. Justin Houston was runner-up and Bryce Jewell finished a hard fought third. Rod Reed, Tim Walker, and Sweeney were heat races winners.
UMP Crate (Pro) Late Models Tait Davenport repeated last Friday's victory by besting a 22-car field in the 15-lap feature. Josh Harris finished second and Troy English came from far back in the field to finish third. Heats were won by Brent Burnett, Payton Coleman, and Mike King.
UMP Street Stocks Pancho Elder was victorious in the 12 lap main event. He was followed to the checkers by Paul Howard and youngster J. R. Mason. Elder also won the heat.
4 cylinder Warriors Adam Elliott survived lapped traffic and at least one side-swipe with another competitor for the ten lap win. Jeffrey Bailey and Jaren Frick followed under the checkers. Keaton Downing, Frick, and Elliott were heat race winners.
Super Cell Mini Sprints Eric Edwards got his first PIR win of the season over Jarrett Cathey and Joe Miller. Miller won the heat race.
The World of Outlaws Sprint Car program rained out Saturday, May 10 has been rescheduled Monday, July 28. All ticket stubs and wristbands from May 10 will be honored July 28. It will be a complete new show for the Outlaws, plus the local Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Super Cell Mini Sprints.
NASCAR Stars Dale Earnhardt, Jr, Ken Schrader, and Promoter Bob Sargent purchased Paducah International Raceway in November of 2005. Two-time NASCAR Champion Tony Stewart joined the trio of co-owners as a partner in September of 2006. In 2008 the 3/8th mile high-banked oval will host several high profile events including three NASCAR Nights of Stars, the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars, the USA World 50, and the Tri-Track Challenge.
