BATESVILLE, Ark. (May 13) - Billy Moyer Jr. from Batesville, Arkansas entered a pair of events over the weekend behind the wheel of his #21jr Victory Circle M1 Chassis by Moyer Super Late Model and came away with a pair of top ten finishes.
Billy raced at Beebe Speedway in Beebe, Arkansas with the AMP Late Models on Friday night. A very wet race track, made passing come at a premium, and late in the race, Moyer Jr. was going for a top five finish, when another competitor ran him into the infield causing him to lose several spots. He was ultimately credited with an 8th place finish.
On Saturday night, he was scheduled to race again with the AMP tour at Central Arkansas Speedway in Plumerville, Arkansas, but the event was canceled at 2:30 in the afternoon due to inclement weather in the area. As a result, the team headed to Greenville Speedway in Greenville, Mississippi for an O'Reilly MSRA event. Billy battled in the top five for most of the event, getting as high as the 3rd position, before a late race restart shuffled him back to a 6th place finish.
This weekend, Billy will compete in a pair of O'Reilly MSRA Super Late Model events. Action gets underway on Friday night at 67 Speedway in Texarkana, Arkansas with a 40 lap, $2000 to win and $300 to start event. Saturday night the action shifts to Arkansas Motor Speedway in Nashville, Arkansas for a $2,000 to win and $400 to start, 40 lap affair.
