BRIGHT, Ind. (May 8) - The Jam-Pow Motorsports team traveled to southwestern Kentucky last weekend, as the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series invaded the Kentucky Lake Motor Speedway in Calvert City, Kentucky for two key point events.  The annual '99 Extravaganza' took place at KLMS on May 2-3 and a $9,999 top prize was up for grabs each night.  After Mother Nature took the win on Friday night, May 2, Scott James and the rest of the series competitors were in action at the "Taj Mahal of Dirt Racing" on Saturday evening.

Scott qualified well and later ran third in his heat race to earn the eleventh starting spot in the $9,999 to win feature event.  The Bright, Indiana driver suffered problems during the course of the '99 Extravaganza' that led to a twentieth place performance in the final rundown of the 50-lap affair.  Scott now finds himself ninth in the latest version of the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series point standings leaving KLMS.  You can view complete results from this race online at www.lucasdirt.com!

The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will take Scott and the #83 team to the Show-Me State of Missouri on May 9-10 for one of their biggest events of the year.  The 2nd Annual 'SuperClean Diamond Nationals' will take place this upcoming weekend at the pristine Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, Missouri.  The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and the O'Reilly MLRA Series will co-sanction the mega-event, which boasts a $40,000 top prize.

Qualifying will kick things off on Friday night, May 9 at the state-of-the-art speedplant.  A complete lineup of heat races, consolation events, and the 100-lap 'SuperClean Diamond Nationals' will then headline the program on Saturday, May 10.  The cameras of the SPEED Channel will be on hand to tape all of the exciting action for broadcast later in the year. You can view more information concerning the 'SuperClean Diamond Nationals' online at www.lucasdirt.com!
