NEW RICHMOND, Wisc. (May 8) - Cedar Lake Speedway is proud to announce the 30 drivers who contacted CLS and will receive Free Fuel by committing to participate in this year's USA Nationals held July 31st thru Aug 2nd.
2008 marks the 21st running of the USA Nationals at the legendary high banks of Cedar Lake Speedway located 20 minutes east of the Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area. Over the years this event has produced some of the best dirt track racing in the country! As time passes and the racing industry evolves, promoters are challenged to find new and innovative ways to promote and continue the tradition of Crown Jewel events like the USA Nationals. Two weeks ago, CLS management announced a huge promotion for drivers that give real incentive to attend. "Not only is the event $50,000 to win and $2,000 to start, but to help pay for their fuel to get to the event is huge," commented Jamie Nutzmann of Cedar Lake Speedway.
Cedar Lake Speedway's Free Fuel promotion paid the first 30 touring drivers to call the Cedar Lake office located at least 200 miles from the track 50¢ per mile from their shop to the track's pit gate. "With fuel prices soaring we felt this was the best way to attract the touring late model racer" stated Chuck Kaufman, Owner of CLS. "The further they travel the more they get paid!"
Cedar Lake Speedway representatives have spoken directly to the following drivers and they have expressed commitment to this year's event and will receive the Free Fuel promotion.
